Vodafone launches multi-country programme to help attract and support LGBT+ talent
Inclusion for All is core to who we are at Vodafone and we remain committed to creating an inclusive and equal workplace, where LGBT+ colleagues can be themselves.
In 2018, Vodafone commissioned international research to inform a new multi-country programme LGBT+ and Friends Connect’ which is aimed at hiring and supporting LGBT+ people in their first jobs and providing training for managers. Vodafone also carried out a follow up survey of their youth community in 2021 to measure their progress towards becoming an inclusive LGBT+ workplace.
We are explicit in our belief that every person has the right to be authentic in their sexual orientation and gender identity. We embed LGBT+ inclusion into our policies and processes, ensuring that the lived experience and needs of the community are reflected in all we do. Every Pride Week, Vodafone hosts a global webinar celebrating our LGBT+ colleagues that’s attended by thousands of employees from around the world. And every Spirit Day, we speak out against bullying in the LGBT+ community.
